1. Fennel Seeds

Fennel seeds are considered very effective to cure this digestive problem. In a glass of lukewarm water add a few fennel seeds. Drink this mixture every night before going to bed. It would definitely heal constipation.

2. Lemon Juice

Extract the juice of half a lemon and add it to a glass of warm water. Now add a pinch of rock salt and half teaspoon of honey to it. Drink this mixture on an empty stomach.

3. Garlic

Garlic is among the best home remedies for constipation. Garlic is very good in treating as well as avoiding constipation. Garlic helps in stimulating intestinal movements. It can be chewed or can be incorporated in vegetable dishes and juices.

4. Dates and Milk

Take 4-5 dates (khajoor) and remove their seeds. Now boil these dates along with 250ml of milk. Now let it cool down and consume when it become lukewarm. This will surely work in relieving constipation.

Figs (Anjeer), either dried or ripe, are packed with fiber. For relief from constipation, boil a few figs in a glass of milk, drink this mixture at night before bed. Make sure the mixture is lukewarm when you drink it.

Raisins (kishmish) are packed with fiber and act as great natural laxatives. Soak a 10-12 raisins in water overnight and have them first thing in the morning on an empty stomach.

Almond oil is very beneficial for the treatment of constipation as it has natural laxative effect. Taking 1 tablespoon of almond oil in lukewarm milk at bedtime help clear bowel in the next day.

9. Castor Oil

Castor oil (Arandi ka tel) has been used for centuries as a sure shot remedy for constipation and has properties that can kill intestinal worms. If drinking a spoon of castor oil alone is not something you’d like to do, you could add a tablespoon of it in a lukewarm glass of milk.  Have this mixture at night before bed to relieve constipation.
